1. Who we are
Test user (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a local trade business operating in Manchester, Greater Manchester. We are the data controller for information collected through this website.

2. What data we collect
- Name and phone number (when you submit the quote form)
- Service type and postcode (optional, if you provide them)
- Message content (optional)
- Call records — if you call our number and the call is unanswered, your number is recorded automatically
3. Why we collect it and the legal basis
We process your data to:
- Respond to your enquiry — legal basis: legitimate interests (you contacted us for a quote)
- Send you an SMS to confirm we received your request — legal basis: legitimate interests / consent obtained via form
- Ask for a review after completing your job — legal basis: legitimate interests (existing customer relationship), as permitted by PECR
We do not send unsolicited marketing to people who have not contacted us.
4. SMS messaging
By submitting the quote form, you consent to receive an SMS from us regarding your enquiry. If we complete a job for you, we may send one or two SMS messages asking for your feedback — this is permitted under the ‘soft opt-in’ rule in PECR.
To opt out at any time: reply STOP to any SMS we send. We will immediately add you to our suppression list and send no further messages.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry records for up to 2 years. Job and review records are kept for up to 3 years for business accounting purposes. You can request deletion at any time (see section 7).
6. Who we share data with
We use the following processors:
- Twilio — for sending and receiving SMS messages (USA-based, SCCs in place)
- Neon / Vercel — cloud hosting and database (EU/USA infrastructure)
We do not sell your data to third parties.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent at any time (reply STOP to any SMS)

8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
